4/30/2007 Department Of Fair Employment And Housing Announces In-Person Complaint Filing Program In Ventura  
4/17/2007 The Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) today announced that it has settled a pending case against Orchard Park Apartments arising out of a tenant’s allegation that he was subjected to discrimination because he is a person with a mental disability who requires the use of a service animal.  
1/25/2007 The Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) today announced the $75,000 settlement of a San Mateo County housing case alleging discrimination on the basis of race.  
10/27/2006 Orange county apartment complex pays $125,000 in settlement of lawsuit alleging discrimination against families with children  

Eminent domain state ballot measure takes aim at rent control -- Property rights activists are once again pushing a ballot measure aimed at restricting government's use of eminent domain, but this time there's a secondary target - rent-control ordinances. The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, the California Farm Bureau Federation and various property owner groups are expected in the coming weeks to submit more than a million signatures to qualify the measure for the June 3 ballot.
